Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Strate Labs Limited ("we", "us") handles personal information collected through the Mirror mobile application and related services (the "Service"). We try to keep this short and plain. If anything is unclear, email contact@stratelabs.net.
What we collect
- Account information. Your email address and a password hash, or — if you sign in with Apple or Google — the identifier those services provide.
- Profile information.An optional display name and an optional "about you" context block you can edit in the app.
- Your content. The tasks, goals, milestones, log entries, and reflection messages you create in Mirror.
- Patterns Mirror notices. Mirror keeps a small record of recurring themes from your conversations to help it respond with continuity over time.
- Device push token. If you allow notifications, we store a token issued by Apple or Google so we can send due-date reminders to your device.
- Subscription status. If you subscribe to Mirror +, RevenueCat tells us whether your subscription is active.
- Diagnostic logs. Anonymous error and performance logs that help us fix bugs. These do not include your content.
How we use it
- To run the Service — store your content, sign you in, send reminders.
- To generate Mirror's responses. Your messages and the relevant context from your account are sent to a large language model provider so Mirror can reply.
- To process subscriptions through Apple and our subscription provider.
- To debug, improve, and secure the app.
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not use your content to train any model.
Who we share it with
We use the following service providers to operate Mirror. Each receives only the data needed for its specific function.
- Supabase — database, authentication, file storage.
- Anthropic and OpenAI— large language model providers that power Mirror's responses. Per their data policies, content sent through their APIs is not used to train their models.
- Apple Push Notification service and Firebase Cloud Messaging — delivering notifications to your device.
- RevenueCat — subscription status tracking.
- Amazon Web Services — backend hosting.
How long we keep it
We keep your account data as long as your account exists. When you delete your account — Settings → Delete Account in the app — your data is removed from our systems within 30 days. Some backups may persist for an additional 60 days as part of our routine backup cycle before being overwritten.
Your rights
You can:
- Access and edit your content directly in the app.
- Delete your account, which removes your data — Settings → Delete Account.
- Email us at contact@stratelabs.net with any privacy question or to request a data export.
Children
Mirror is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
International data transfers
Our service providers are located in various countries including the United States. By using Mirror you consent to your information being processed in those countries.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes we will update the "last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of Mirror. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them.
Your account
You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. You must be at least 13 years old to use Mirror.
Your content
You retain ownership of the content you create in Mirror. You grant us a limited licence to host, transmit, and process that content solely to operate the Service — for example, storing your tasks in our database or sending your messages to our language model provider so Mirror can reply.
Acceptable use
Don't use Mirror to harass others, attempt to access other users' data, reverse engineer the Service, or do anything illegal. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Subscriptions
Mirror is free to use with a daily limit on conversations with Mirror. Mirror + is an optional auto-renewing subscription that removes the limit. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase and renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel your subscription in your iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. No refunds for partial billing periods, except where required by law.
Mirror's output
Mirror is a tool. Its responses are generated by a language model and may contain mistakes. Don't rely on Mirror for medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice. You are responsible for what you do with the information Mirror provides.
No warranty / limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Strate Labs Limited is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
Changes to the Service
We may add, change, or remove features. If we make material changes to these Terms we'll update the "last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
Termination
You may stop using the Service or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of New Zealand.
